Watcher (In-app JavaScript deployment)¶
Monitoring enduser experience through RUM (Real User Monitoring) requires the use of either an in-app JavaScript or a browser extension.
The in-app JavaScript is included in the <HEAD>
section of your monitored page HTML code.
It is executed on the user's browser to instruct it to send performance metrics to the Kadiska platform.
In order to prevent any performance impact this JavaScript may have on your overall web performances, this is delivered by Kadiska through a CDN (Content Delivery Network).
Furthermore, we recommend to use techniques like defer
or async
that make sure loading this JavaScript will not block the HTML parsing process. By default, the provided in-app JavaScript code does include the async
mode.
This Kadiska in-app JavaScript is configured in the Watcher section.
