The concept of "Application"

An application corresponds to a Kadiska Watcher instance. In turn, each Watcher corresponds to one API key. This API key is used together with the Kadiska RUM JavaScript placed on each web host you wish to monitor; when creating a Watcher, you have to provide the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) to monitor. For more information about how to set up a Watcher, please refer to the following section: Setup Watcher.

Even if it is perfectly possible to reuse the same API key for multiple FQDNs, we strongly recommend to use a dedicated API key (so a dedicated Watcher) per web host in order to clearly differentiate performance metrics from one application to another.

You can check the applications license consumption by looking at the "License Usage" view of the main configuration menu:
